Eton College

In 2011, Exclusive Leisure was presented with a fantastic opportunity to work with the prestigious Eton College, commencing a partnership that has seen us work together on a number of projects.

The institution has been one of the leading independent schools in the UK since being founded by King Henry VI in 1440 and required cricket training facilities to match the high standards of its other resources.

Since the initial project we completed for Eton College we have worked with the institution on two other occasions. Thanks to the relationships we develop with our clients, we often have repeat business which is a massive compliment to the quality of our installations.

Eton College strives to be innovative, as do we, which made us perfect partners when it came to working together.

The first facility we installed in 2011 was an eight-bay practice facility complete with Tom Graveney Cricketweave Carpets, a four-metre high cage and perimeter netting which allows up to 16 budding cricketers to work on their technique simultaneously.

After this proved to be extremely popular and deemed a great success by the team at Eton, in 2013 we were commissioned to install an additional four-bay practice facility, with identical specs to its eight-bay counterpart.  This again increased the ability for students to hone their sporting prowess, while giving teachers and coaches extra options to split sessions allowing them to run as efficiently as possible.

Most recently, in 2015, our team returned once again to install two new bays in a separate location which now allows for smaller sessions to be run helping individuals to develop.

Prior to working with us, Eton’s cricket training pitches were hard porous/dynamic bases which they wanted to convert to our ‘T’ Base system. This requires minimal maintenance and plays consistently all year round, which is why we recommend it to our clients. It does not require watering, rolling or other on-going services, making it a cost-effective solution for a high quality surface.

Our new ‘tunnel vision’ nets have also been used, which further assists in the maintenance of the facility as these can be taken down and stored away during winter, preventing weather damage.
