Hard Porous System
Our Hard Porous system is constructed to a very high standard and has been approved by the ECB. This system will require regular maintenance, particularly in the first 8-10 weeks.
The Hard Porous system will perform like a natural grass pitch with the weather conditions affecting the performance e.g. bounce and speed of the pitch. Also required is continuous watering and rolling throughout the playing season to maintain the firm and even surface. It will also require a general service after a couple of seasons which will involve removing the carpet and redressing the stone before replacing the carpet.
‘T’ Base Systems
The ‘T’ Base system, designed by Exclusive Leisure, eliminates the maintenance requirements needed by the Hard Porous system. We have found within schools and cricket clubs that grounds staff are not available, or do not have the time to devote to their artificial surface.
The ECB approved ‘T’ Base system is a solid macadam construction with an underlay carpet laid over the base beneath the Cricketweave or T10 Tufted carpet. The playing characteristics are consistent and the major advantage of this system is that it requires no maintenance to the base. This system will be at optimum playing performance from day one.
The system is ideal when installing a practice facility in a flood plain area as the ‘T’ Base is an engineered base not a dynamic base.
