When contemplating the installation of a floodlighting scheme for tennis there are a number of questions you will need to ask yourself to determine which scheme will suit your requirements.
County 500 Lux – LTA recommended
Club 400 Lux – LTA minimum
Recreational 300 Lux
A standard Philips ‘Corner-Lit’ layout with 4 no. 1100W LED’s (3 engines) per court will meet the LTA recommended requirements.
A standard Philips ‘Side and Corner-Lit’ layout with 6 no. 500W LED’s per court will meet the LTA minimum requirements.
A standard Philips ‘Corner-Lit’ layout with 4 no. 900W LED’s (2 engines) per court will also meet the LTA minimum requirements.
All of our systems can provide individual court lighting if required.
ClearFlood LED’s, in a ‘Side and Corner-Lit’ layout are usually mounted at a height of between 6.7 metres – 7 metres.
OptiVision LED’s in a ‘Corner-Lit’ layout are usually mounted at a height of 8 metres or 10 metres.
We can design a lighting system to suit your requirements. Some Planning Authorities prefer more columns with lower mounting heights, and some prefer fewer columns with higher mounting heights.
All of our LED systems can be provided with either Warm White (2700K or 3000K), Neutral White (4000K) or Cool White (5700K).
All of our LED systems provide low running costs. The LTA minimum requirements can be met with approximately 3kW – 3.6kW per hour per court, and the LTA recommended requirements can be met with approximately 4.4kW per hour per court.
All Philips LED’s have a rated life of approximately 100,000 hours.
All columns are tubular with specially designed mounting brackets, and along with the LED’s, can be finished either self-colour (galvanised), or RAL 6005 Moss Green.
