Founded in 1934 and situated in north-east Ipswich, St John’s Tennis Club has around 130 members and boasts three all-weather, floodlit tarmacadam courts.

In 2006, Exclusive Leisure Limited began working with the club and have sustained a positive relationship with them ever since.

After initially installing floodlights on two of their courts in 2007, we were delighted when the club got back in touch for an installation on their third court.

Speaking about the first time St John’s used ELL’s services, the club’s Project Leader, David Wilson, said: “It was a straightforward decision to begin using ELL’s services back in 2006. I visited Stansted Tennis Club to see some of their previous work, and the members there were extremely impressed with their facilities.”

After doing some research, David met with our Sports Lighting Project Manager, Steve Percy, and he soon decided that Exclusive Leisure was the right company to work with.

“I met with Steve and I was impressed with how thorough he was when he was explaining things,” said David. “He was very genuine and I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me something, I felt like he was trying to help.”

David added: “I have recommended ELL before and I would do so again. Ipswich Sports Club needed floodlights for some of their courts and they approached me asking for advice, so I was quick to tell them about ELL’s services.”
